 ABOUT THE TRAINER

Liz "Ike" Iacovino is a certified professional trainer. She has trained at the National K9 School for Dog Trainers in Columbus, OH. National K9's cerfication program is recognized around the world. To achieve professional cerfication, students have to complete NK9's intensive coursees which include a combination of classroom instruction, hands on training experience, written testing, and extensive field evaluation under the supervision of experienced instructors.

Ike has professional certification in Basic & Advanced Obedience; Breed Identification; Tracking; Personal Protection; Police K9; Behavior Modification; Scent Detection; Utility; Puppy Development; Assistance Dog; Retrieval.

   

Ike has also trained with Martin Deeley from the International School for Dog Trainers in Fl, and with Marc Goldberg of the Force Free Method ( The Chicago Dog Trainer.) Together the method is called E-Touch which is electronic remote collar training using pack drive.

 

Ike is also a graduate of This Able Veteran as a PTSD Service Dog Trainer

Ike is also a certified Trick Dog Instructor through Kyra Sundance.

 Also completed the Obedience Intensive program through The Michael Ellis School for Dog Trainers in CA.

 

Most recently, Its been an honor and a privilege to be a graduate of Ivan Balabanov's Training Without Conflict and being part of the TWC community.

Ike is also a member of the International Association of Canine Professionals, National K9's Graduate Association,member of the National Association of Canine Scent Work, AKC Canine Good Citizen Evaluator, AKC Fit Dog Instructor, member of the United Schutzhund Club, a certified Pet Saver Tech., and attends several seminars and workshops every year to continue to learn new techniques and knowledge.

Ike is from Rockland, MA and is currently living in Rockland with Drew Robbins, Belgian Malinois- Gia and German Shepherd- Utarik

 

The 1976 movie called the Doberman Gang was what inspired Ike to become a trainer. She enjoys educating owners to help them communicate with their dogs to get the most understanding and enjoyment out of their best friends.

 

Other interests include, Cooking, Drawing, Walking, Schutzhund, Agility, Dog Tricks, hanging out with the dogs and spending time with her parents, two sisters and family
